2° Motorbikes turn of the Peaks Edition 2004

We have decided to participate in this experimental initiative of the Committee Regional FMI Piedmont not so much to see "sets new" in what will see that are places that have already visited, on the contrary for the context, the organization and the company!

This motion turn is an initiative that is being born for looking for a' alternative activity in comparison to the normal motion assembles, that from many (me inclusive) a they are considered a little too much "static"; it is composed of two times in different days, in which from a basic place of departure, through a more binding run, he comes in a place of meeting and I rearranges.

Test of Boldness Saturday and Sunday August 21-22 th

999  Km

This is an initiative that ties him to the motorbike trip of Easter and to the aforesaid motion you turn, more complex, long and binding: it articulates in 2 days, where will almost all cross the Alps Occidentali, from Switzerland until to a footstep from the sea!

We find us to Aosta, the time it promises well and in small groups we depart to the time of the Gran St. Bernard; unfortunately the sun lasts few and almost on the top are welcomed by a beautiful storm of snow! We pass in Switzerland to the flight, snow becomes water and us her we bring behind thin in France after having crossed the With de Forclaz.

Thin to now void visibility! We travel in the fog and we realize only the imposing mountains that we have nearby; after Chamonix her rain stops but it is everything wet however, imposing us a ridiculous hourly average, we continue and we salt on the Coimets de Roselend where we find the first snow of the season.

We go down in val of Isere that we finally cross with some boldness up to climb the with de Iseran: icy wind, snow and 1 centigrade degree! We quickly go down and Modane, that we reach late afternoon by now in the aim; from here, following it valley, diverts and climbs in order the with du Télégraphe, the Galibier and we go down to the Lautaret from where, with the last 30 km of the day, we reach Briançon

He now goes down definite toward Barcellonette where we find the alternative for the Cayolle: the road until to now beautiful and fast molt of hit, leaving the place to a narrow roadway and flood of patches.

We go down from the Cayolle in the beautiful town of Valberg but we immediately go up again toward the with de Couillole from where we finally find a asphalt worthy of this name!

You now goes down in the valley of the river Tinée characterized by the possession all the red rocks; the road is very beautiful and fast and in a nothing let's be to Island where salt for crossing the Lombarda and finally in Italy! We are in our usual traffic of the reentry from the valleys and with calm we reach Wedge for the breakup of the demonstration.
